Cbanker: Ecosystems have risks of data leaks, illegal use of info

MOSCOW, May 24 (PRIME) -- Ecosystems of IT companies and major banks carry risks of information leaks and its illegal use, Russia’s Central Bank Chairwoman Elvira Nabiullina said on Monday.

“Certainly, (ecosystems) are very convenient for people – quick, cheap, all services in one system… But there are risks. These are risks of information leaks, unjustified use of personal information and risks related to distortion of competition,” Nabiullina said.

“When there is no competition, eventually, even if everything starts with cheap services, it will lead to a rise in prices, when there are no competitors nearby,” she added.
